The Lodge

Delphi Lodge – Luxury Country House

A delightful 1830s country house and fishing lodge in one of the most spectacular settings in Connemara Ireland. It offers charming accommodation, glorious scenery, great food and total tranquillity. Located in a wild and unspoilt valley of extraordinary beauty, the 1000-acre Delphi estate is one of Ireland’s hidden treasures. The historic lodge, famous as a holiday hideaway, is surrounded by the tallest mountains in Connemara and overlooks the lakes and rivers of the Delphi valley famous for their salmon and seatrout fishing.

This beautiful lodge has 13 large comfortable bedrooms one of which is a large family suite and three which can be either twin or triple rooms. A large dining room, a snooker room and three old world reception rooms with log fires all combine to ensure that our guests have a warm, relaxing and friendly experience throughout their stay.  Although many guests come for a week, we also welcome shorter stays and nightly rates are available. To enjoy the ‘Delphi Experience‘, however, we recommend a stay of at least two nights. The lodge is also available for exclusive use for small weddings and private houseparties for groups of between twenty four to forty for a minimum of two nights. We are also ideally suited to hosting smaller family gatherings, shooting parties, walking groups and corporate events. Formerly the sporting lodge of the Marquis of Sligo, Delphi Lodge is wonderfully secluded, yet within easy reach of beautiful sandy beaches, championship golf courses, horse riding and all the sights of Connemara, Galway and Mayo. Delphi is special. It is not a hotel – it has no room service, TVs or a la carte menus. It is a private country house of great charm, stylish yet informal, sophisticated yet relaxing.

Angling Report June 2016

June 2016 has certainly been an unusual month here at Delphi. Whilst much of mainland Europe was under water, during the first half of the month Delphi was more akin to its Greek counterpart, basking in glorious sunshine […]
