This is the perfect opportunity to fish for fresh run spring salmon between 8 and 20lbs while using a floating line. Delphi Lodge and Fishery is a famous estate set in the wilds of Connemara.
A long standing 30-year Syndication has now come to an end which means rods are once again available throughout the key spring salmon fishing season, from the 1st of February to May. Delphi has for 25 years operated a hatchery, which by using the Delphi genetic strain of Salmon greatly boosts the numbers of returning fish.
This is the perfect way to start your salmon season as early as February and not have to wait until June before the Norwegian or Icelandic rivers open up. Wild salmon are caught on a mandatory catch and release policy unless it is an angler’s first ever Atlantic salmon while the spring salmon originating from our own hatchery can be kept by the angler.
A limited amount of 8 rods are available on a first come first serve basis with a guarantee of keeping the slot then year after year. Options are 3 day, 4 day or 7 day package, either on a self catering basis in one of the estates newly renovated cottages or staying in the Lodge full board, famous for its irish country house cooking.
