Our commitment to nature and the environment

The bog lands, mountains, rivers and lakes of the Delphi Estate are listed as a European Special Area of Conservation. This rugged and unspoilt landscape, on the edge of the Atlantic ocean is home to a wide and diverse range of plants, animals, birds and migratory fish. It is an old landscape, the Caledonian Mountains show every bit of their age and the valleys and gorges, carved by glaciers and rivers are witness to the immense forces of nature when time simply doesn’t matter.

At Delphi Lodge we embrace the responsibility to protect and maintain this environment as nature intended. To safeguard the pristine streams, rivers and lakes of the Delphi Valley and watch over the rugged, but fragile soils of the bog lands, hills and mountains. This environment has been enjoyed by many from past generations and as current custodians we relish the task to ensure it is protected and safeguarded, so that many generations to come can enjoy nature unspoilt in this beautiful part of Ireland.
