Mike Shortt 25th Sept 2012I have to apologise for an omission in yesterdays blog. It was the fact that Mike Shortt has become a member of Delphi’s 100 Club, i.e. anglers with 100+ salmon since 1986.

The salmon that Mike caught on Sunday morning of 9lbs1oz on a beaded nymph was actually his 100th Delphi salmon. A fishing companion of Mike’s commented that it took him long enough to reach this milestone.

I have to also admit that I did omit to include Mike in last years Top Rods, when he actually caught 7.

That now brings the number in the Club to 13 and I would like to congratulate Mike on this achievement.

There are two more fish to add to the count since yesterday. Albert Bussjager has a relatively fresh fish of approx. 2lbs from the Whin pool on a Collie Dog.

Mike Shortt had his 101st this morning when he landed a 11lbs10oz fish from Finlough stream on a Cascade.

Unless there is any significant milestone in the next few days, I probably won’t update till October 1st or 2nd.
